Post graduation

—> I scored a great fulltime job at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center ER being a scribe.  Needless to say I am really excited!!!  Finally things are turning around!

—> I also will be volunteering at INOVA Alexandria in the ER Department.  Ah.. not so excited?  Why?  Because scribes are also in the ER.  AKA.. i will have a buttload of ER time for the next year… ohh wells!

—> Applied to be a volunteer as a teacher’s aide for ESOL classes.  Ironic? YES definitely.. seeing how English has been my one and only language for my entire lifetime.  However, I really want to do it and hope I get it (:

Now all i need is a gym membership?  Trying to put in my training time for 5ks with my cousins (:

Trying to pack as many things as I can before I apply to medical school?

Yes.
Definitely.
What have I been doing??

i think
anyone can get an A in any class if they really put their minds to it

there are some exceptions
but really…………. not many at all

How much do you prioritize?

"Dr. Cox: Relationships don’t work the way they do on television and in the movies. Will they? Won’t they? And then they finally do, and they’re happy forever. Gimme a break. Nine out of ten of them end because they weren’t right for each other to begin with, and half of the ones who get married get divorced anyway, and I’m telling you right now, through all this stuff, I have not become a cynic, I haven’t. Yes, I do happen to believe that love is mainly about pushing chocolate covered candies and, y’know, in some cultures, a chicken. You can call me a sucker, I don’t care, because I do believe in it. Bottom line is: it’s couples who are truly right for each other wade through the same crap as everybody else, but the big difference is they don’t let it take them down. One of those two people will stand up and fight for that relationship every time. If it’s right, and they’re real lucky, one of them will say something."

*update from the author*

A lot of people seem grumpy about my latest comic about online gaming as a girl.

I wasn’t implying that girls suck at games. I was implying two things:

  • When girls play, often times no one takes them seriously.
  • If they screw up, often times the room is filled with lonely dudes who say things like “LOL that’s okay! Will you marry me?”    If I screw up I get eviscerated.

In short: a terrible female gamer gets away with way more than a terrible male gamer (like me).

This came from my recent escapades playing Left4Dead online.

Again, I meant no ill toward lady gamers.
